Week 1: 3.28 - 4.1
Reading: Ch-1, Fundamentals.
We will discuss the relationship between the time and frequency domains. This will be based on lecture note [1.0].
Week 2: 4.4 - 4.1
Finish lecture note [1.0]: time & frequency domains, knee frequency; lumped vs. distributed circuits; concept of effective length; capacity and mutual capacity; inductance and mutual inductance; estimation of crosstalk.
Week 3: 4.11 - 4.15
Reading: Ch-4; properties of lumped circuits and the "Newco" example.
Week 4: 4.18 - 4.22
Lumped resonance theory for digital waveforms. Distributed circuit theory and the transmission line.
Week 5: 4.25 - 4.29
Transmission lines for digital circuits; reflection coefficients; lattice diagrams and terminations.
Week 6: 5.2 - 5.6
Midterm; Begin discussion of device theory related to logic families.
Week 7: 5.9 - 5.13
ECL and CMOS logic families.
Week 8: 5.16 - 5.20
Week 9: 5.23 - 5.27
Week 10: 5.30 - 6.3
